GATE 2021 Exam(Date Announced): Notification, Eligibility Criteria, Syllabus, and Updates.
So, finally, the announcement has come for the much-awaited GATE Examination 2021. IIT Bombay notification has surely brought relief for many engineering students graduating this year. Along with that, there’s something to cheer for the art students as well.
In the new notification published by the IIT Bombay, the changes have been announced in the following board areas:

- Number of total subjects
- Number of Subjects to be applied

The GATE 2021 Examination has been spread over a number of days due to the COVID 19 Pandemic – February 5-7 and February 12-14, 2021.
What does the change mean for you?
- More applicants: Now that the relaxation criteria have been relaxed by the conducting authority, the third-year engineering candidates can also apply. This will enhance the number of candidates as well as the competition level.
- New streams added: With the introduction of the humanities stream, more students will be able to take the exam this year. Buckle up, arts graduates!! Your time has also arrived finally. This will open the doors for such students to apply to the PSUs.
- Inter-disciplinary studies encouraged: Now, students can apply for more than one subject and this will be beneficial for inter-disciplinary studies. But this also means get ready to study more.
- Magnificent Surprise for third-year students: Well, this came out of the blue!! But at the same time, it gives you an opportunity to make it to your dream course or job this year itself. However, devote time to your final year studies as well along with this.
- No change in the overall pattern: According to the notification, the exam pattern has not been changed and that is welcome news for the aspirants. Start with previous year papers and then go ahead with study materials.
